As we all know, tofu is hard to cook because of tasteless. But you never know how Chinese have so many ways to cook tofu in Chinese cuisine. This salt and Pepper Tofu is one of the most popular Chinese dishes that can be made easily at home.

How to make salt and pepper tofu

INGREDIENTS
•400g firm tofu, drained and cut into 2cm cubes
•500ml milk
•100g starch
•120g egg white
•1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
•2 bowls vegetable oil
•1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put the tofu on a plate. Sprinkle starch on the tofu, make each side of tofu covered with a thin layer starch.

2. Mix starch, egg white, and milk in a bowl to make the seasoning sauce.

3. Add about 1 inch of oil to wok being used for frying. Bring to medium heat. When the oil is hot, add a few pieces of tofu and fry until crispy on all sides before removing.

4. Transfer tofu on a plate. Sprinkle the salt and pepper powder on it. Serve.
